COLLINS’S EARLY YEARS – THE FOUNDATION TO BECOMING A SOCIAL ENTREPRENEUR

 

Collins, a South African adventurer, entrepreneur, and lifelong social activist, was born during the apartheid-era in the 1970s in South Africa. However, she was educated in both the UK and South Africa, Collins spent much of her school years challenging apartheid. (Refer to Exhibit I to know about South Africa). When she was 15, she was jailed for participating in a rally that opposed apartheid. “I grew up on a rural farm in South Africa seeing a very segregated society,” stated Collins, adding, “The stark divide was confusing to me as a child.” ..
